In research, the centre is involved in the characterisation of molecular causes of certain monogenetic diseases, stem cell research, cancer, reproductive genetics, lipid metabolism, metabolism, signal transduction cascades and genetic diseases, the development of new therapeutic approaches for human genetic diseases, bioethics as well as toxicogenetics, among others.
